ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Jay Taparia, CFA

profile   Jay Taparia is a seasoned financial expert and educator with over two decades of experience in academia and the financial services industry.


He founded Sanskar Advisors (2000) + Sanskar Tax Advisors (2005) as a 100% paperless, financial planning, portfolio management, and tax preparation firm, serving over 600 clients across 14 states, all acquired solely through word of mouth and 5 acquisitions.


He is also a professor since 2000 teaching finance, accounting, marketing, and entrepreneurship, more recently at New York University (2015). 


education   Jay holds a BBA in Accounting and Finance from Southern Methodist University (1990), an MBA in Finance, Marketing and International Business from Northwestern University (1996), and an MS in Development and Human Assistance from New York University (2013). He also holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation (1998).
